Visitors From the North!
We had some sweet visitors last week, and although it was quick visit, it was so great to see them! Allison was excited to meet Truett, and I was excited to see how her two littles have turned into bigs! Seems like only yesterday I was rocking tiny Ev and patting her little bottom as she drifted off to sleep, and now she is growing gal, W is all over the place, and I have baby of my own whose bottom needs patting. We laughed that our visits now are less catching up and more child wrangling, but we are so thankful for these crazy babes, and I am so thankful for her friendship.

Truett's First Two Months
Truett is now two months old, and we are starting to get a little routine going on around here. Many of our days look the same, but Tru baby seems to thrive on the familiar, so we are sticking with it for now.
Truett's 2-month check-up went well, and he is a healthy, growing boy- 75th percentile for weight and 70th percentile for height.
The most fun thing during the last month has been the emergence of smiles and coos & goos. He is very vocal and expressive, and we love sitting and "talking" with him. Another fun thing is the increase in the amount of sleep I am getting. Thank you, baby boy, from the bottom of my heart.
Now...commence picture overload...

Truett's Arrival
I mentioned that we had a baby...and then disappeared. I haven't had much time for blogging while meeting the needs of the tiny guy, but I do still want to document his first two months here in this world.
Truett's arrival was fairly uneventful in terms of labor and delivery stories. I was 39 weeks pregnant and went for my weekly check-up. My doctor said we are having a baby tonight, and then we did! I checked in to the hospital around 5:00pm, and we got to meet our sweet boy at 10:42pm. Our families didn't have as much time to make the trip over as we thought they would, but they all jumped in their cars as soon as they got word. We loved having them here to help us welcome Tru baby!

Truett's Nursery
I had so much fun planning and working on Tru baby's nursery. I wanted it to be a sweet, peaceful room, and I am really happy with how it all came together. I decided I should probably document it while it's in pristine condition because I am sure it won't be too long before it's a mess of toys!
Where we do our rocking...and Tru baby loves to rock.
Close-up of the photo wall. We used old photos of our parents and some of our own baby pictures.
